Recycle Cans
RECYCLE CANS AND RAISE MONEY FOR HABITAT!!!
What is the Cans for Habitat program?
Cans for Habitat raises money to build houses for Habitat for Humanity by encouraging people to recycle their empty aluminum beverage cans. The Cans for Habitat program is organized and funded by the aluminum industry.
Who can participate?
Anyone is welcome! We currently have a 'can cottage' outside of our ReStore as a drop off location for your cans. We also have many elementary and middle schools in the local area pioneering this effort for our affiliate.
How much money can the program expect to generate?
Although prices vary from location to location, each can is worth a little more than a penny. Fundraising through aluminum can recycling is a steady process that pays off over time. Cans for Habitat estimates that the program has the potential to raise enough money to build 250 new Habitat for Humanity houses each year.
Every can counts!! Stop by our Offices/ReStore in the Old Bay District Firehouse in Lexington Park, MD! The can cottage is located right outside the front door.
We greatly appreciate your support!
